Go to a vet.
If you found her you don't know if she is injured or sick. You don't know what she's been through, or what abuse she's suffered.
A vet can tell you the age of the dog, and what, if anything is wrong.
Please don't breed her regardless of her age. There are too many homeless pets. Thank you.

I'm wondering if someone abused her every time whe was picked up. I'd also try to make a good effort to locate the owner. Sometimes you can put a free ad in the local paper or put up a sign in the grocery store. If no one claims her, then I'd say she's yours. She also needs to be seen by a vet. I wouldn't breed her...it's a exhausting being pregnant and old for any animal, and it could add to her health problems.

Do us all a favor and turn her over to a vet clinic or the SPCA. She could be tattooed, have you looked? Someone out there is really missing their dog so do the responsible thing and try to locate the owner. The dog could be in some kind or pain and you're asking questions about her ability to reproduce? Not very sensitive are you?

Take her to a vet - anything could be brewing in her body - poor thing. And if you aren't an experienced breeder, Chihuahua's are notorious for having complicated pregnancies and births often require c-sections and the like.
Take the dog to a vet she may be very ill indeed.
P.S. - dog's aren't brats, they just can't talk so they communicate any way they can. Sheesh!

Sounds like she is in pain to me.. Your not a vet. You need to take her to one. And if you found her, she may have someone looking for her so you should be trying to find her owners.
Why would you want to breed a dog you know nothing about? And YES it's bad to breed and old dog! Chi's have a lot of problems giving birth anyhow. And how do you know if she isn't fixed? Most likely she is spayed.
I urge you to 1. take her to a vet, and 2. try to find her real family.

Er, um, STOP picking her up if you have observed that she's in pain. If you've found her, you must report that you found her so that your local animal control or humane society can find her owners.
And I agree with the other posters - it is an extraordinarily bad idea to try to breed this (or any) dog of this age and condition.

You should take her to the vet and have her checked out to see if she is pregnant, how her health is, when she should be having babies if she is pregnant. They can tell you how old she is. I hope she will be okay. It is not good for an old dog to have pups. I quit breeding mine at 6 yr.

firstly you must report finding this dog.. keeping a dog you find is illegal you can be charged with theft if you dont report it...(to the SPCA, pound or wherever your city holds lost animals)
she may have a tattoo or microchip a vet could check for free...
she could have serious internal problems
Chihuahuas often have problems with pregnancies.. its always risky for them - ceasarians are not uncommon
