I have a big problem with static electricity. Everytime I get out of a vehicle I get shocked. When I take off my coat and put it back on I get shocked. My hair has so much static in it, it looks like I have been hit by lightning. How do I stop this? I want someone to tell me how to stop it from the beginning that I wake up!!!

Get a spray bottle, fill it up with tap water, put about 2 tablespoons of your fav conditioner in it. Mix it up. When you get up in the morning, spritz your hair a bit. Comb it through. You should be static free all day.

Static guard is great.

But for really bad hair static, I use fabric softener sheets. Just rub over your hair.

You can also rub the inside of your coat with the dryer sheet, no more static. Keep one in a ziploc baggie in your coat pocket, it will last quite a while.

Bonus, you smell like fresh laundry :) Better than stinky Static Guard.

i spray static guard on my hair and clothes before i leave my house in the morning. but be sure to spray the static guard not too close to your hair because it will get wet, afterwards let the stuff sit in your hair and then spritz the air with something good smelling and walk though it and sprtiz on the back of your neck, so your hair doesnt smell like static guard. usually works for me. and by static guard i mean the stuff you use when you need to unstick your tights from your skirt, etc. its in a can and usually navy blue and with orange writing saying static guard. lol, hope this helps

You need to get a humidifier to put moisture in your home. Furnaces zap the moisture out of the air.

Also a quick fix for your hair is to put a small amount of lotion on your hands, rub hands together and then rub threw your hair.
