Yes,a simple "No thank you" is all that is required. Be kind, especially at the holidays. He is probably trained to say that and hates saying it as much as you resented hearing it....even if he did say it with a smile on his face. Remember,it's a job, even if he is "unhot" he still deserves to be treated with respect. You would want the same if the positions were reversed....just remember The Golden Rule!

if you did it the way you say you did it, you were incredibly rude. you were rude to him because he was 'unhot' and you made a sucky job worse because he tried to assist a customer and got a figurative slap in the face. what goes around comes around, and you should be ashamed for being so shallow. it sounds like you are, or you wouldn't have asked the question, so i hope you will use it as a growing lesson and be nicer in the future. nice New Year's Resolution that we could all probably practice.

Maybe just a little bit but I'm sure he realized that you were just having a bad day.

I'm sure they get a lot worse from customers than that.

If I was that person, I would have just laughed and said, "I'm sorry. Carry on." and left.

I too get a little annoyed when I'm in deep thought while shopping.

I usually answer them with..."Yeah, if you have a few thousand dollars to give me." They always laugh and go on about their other work with no hard feelings.Just hang in there and try not to let the stress of the holidays take over.

Next time, just say "No Thank you. I'm fine." After all. You may need their help later. Yikes! You'll be the last one they want to help.

Keep your chin up and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Yes, you were. You're one of those people me and my girlfriends at work call a b****. Let me guess, it was because he was, as you so aptly put it, "unhot"? People like you make me sick.

If you're not sure if this was rude or not, then it's most likely really rude. Like in school if you're talking a lot and you ask the substitute teacher at the end of class, "Did you write my name down?" Then your conscience thinks that you're in trouble. Same thing here.

Yes, that is rude. He was just trying to help you, you also give reason for this guy not to help other people again, afraid that he will be rejected again. Hope that he did not take it personally, because he could lose his self-esteem in some point.

Yes, very rude. You should have made an inquiry if you were looking for something particular. Just bc you don't consider him "hot" doesn't mean he isn't trying to do his job.

I hope your karmic path in your next life doesn't turn you into an ugly old asshat. Wise up now.

Yes, you need to be considerate of others feelings. I have done it to, and to attractive and not so attractive people. I came to realize that they have feelings to and I need to be nice. It happens, but I would like to know that I made someones day rather than making them feel bad.
