i'm a parent....my husband is a tattoo artist...he has 13, i have 10...plus i have a LOT of piercings. now, when it comes to my kids....i have a rule...they have to be in high school before they can get a piercing. parents need to remember, piercings are not permanent. when/of the kid becomes tired of it, take it out...it closes up and goes away. as a parent, i'm ok with that. also, as a parent, i love that my kids will be able to just come to me and ask for something like that. i don't suggest "trinking" them with a fake one, that just shows immaturity imo....show them you are responsible!!! research credible piercing parlors in your area, look into the healing process, show your parents that you have thought this out long and hard and you know they ins and outs of having the procedure done. they might still say no...but at least you have a chance...and maybe in 1-2 years, when you're a little older, if you still want it done, ask again. it will show them that you are mature, responsible, competent, and that you stick with a plan..that it's not just some momentary phase.
and yes, by all means, focus on your education, but you can still do that AND be a unique individual at the same time ^^

OK I'm going with the first person that answered your question. Also, if you want to know what there reaction is going to be then its very simple. All you have to do is but a fake one on (like the ones that clip on, very hard to find) or just take like some wire and put it in a circle shape (make sure it is sanitized). Show it to your parents and see what they say or how they look if they are about to have a heart attack or about to kill you don't get a real one (remember funerals cost a lot, just kidding).

mine was pierced with a button/pin thingy during my lunch hour Jr year... i wouldn't suggest it cause i know people that have gotten really sick...guess i got lucky Ive taken it out since then for work but ...hurts like a btch but if you want it that bad why not...(I AM NOT SAYING IN ANY WAY YOU SHOULD JUST GIVEN ADVICE)make sure whatever yo do it with is sterile, and also if you gonna hide it from you parents for god sake get a clear or skin colors flat stud other wise you'll be caught... also make sure u use a real lip ring bought from parlor for it not some bent nail...(also know some one that's done that it was pretty funny but that's off the point) professional work is the way to go but if Ur parents say no looks like you dint got a choice and dint listen to that lady bout gramme That in no way shape or form decides whether you can or can not Peirce your lip... but please do think about it first...

Well I wouldn't let my 13 OR 14 year old get their lip pierced, either. I don't blame your parents one bit.
Wait until you're old enough, and don't do it yourself or let a "friend" do it, or chances are it's going to get infected, and then you're going to have a nice big scar on your face for the rest of your life.
I had my lip pierced when I was 19, and I took it out even when it wasn't infected, and I still have a mark.
So keep that in mind.

Firstly, I'd worry more about getting and education and learning how to spelling correctly and to use proper grammar. Secondly, you're 13...trust me, at 13 I wanted all kinds of crazy body art (I'm 22 now) but my parents said "No." So, I shut-up because I was living in their house and under their rules and waited until I was 18. Just because you think you're parents are being mean doesn't mean that they are. They just want you to follow their rules, and you have just a couple of years until you can make your own decision. Until then, don't give them a hard time about it.

I'm a parent and would say talk to them about it. Do some research about the healing process, what you need to do to take care of it, etc. That will show them you really do want it and are prepared to be mature enough about it to take care of it the right way. Also, I'm sure a big concern of theirs is "will the hole always be there?" Find out that answer so when they say "Do you really want a hole in your lip when your 30?" you'll be prepared with the answer. Find out what their concerns are and be willing to discuss them maturely rather than saying "I knew you'd say no" or "all my friends have one" Showing maturity will go a long way in getting them to listen and consider your need to express yourself.

i would most define go for it hun.
its pretty simple
they hold your lip
down with tongs
and slip a needle through
it doesnt hurt a bit.
heals in about 2 weeks.
just tell them..
its simple
and if they
dont go for it...just wait
DO NOT PEIRCE IT YOURSELF.
i tell you this
because people
have no idea what they are doing
and it turns out ******* retarted.
just go to a proffesional.
ive has friends do it..
and they think they did it right
when in actuality it isnt
