In the back of my mouth where my wisdom teeth would be i have a hard lump that hurts bad only when i swallow? I had x-rays like 6 months ago at the dentist, before this problem and they tell me i have no wisdom teeth at all. Not even under the gums. So im wondering what this could be? Theres no weird color to my gum. its just a hard lump right where id have a tooth. I have got this quite often like 5 times this year. I did mention it to my doctor awhile back when it wasnt there though. and she said could be a swallon gland? I just dont know if we really have glands in our gums/ sounds weird? Im 24 yrs old, clean my mouth and teeth 3 times a day. What is this and is causeing it? Thanks in Advance

i'm 13 and i had one of those right next to my wisdom tooth and they had to take out my tooth, it is caused because of long roots that your teeth have. it is painful but thats prob. all it is.

I am not a dentist or doctor, but I can tell you from my experience, is that every so often I have a lump on my gum. It dissapears for awhile and then comes back. Im 37 and have experienced this for about 10 years now. We all get nervous when we feel a lump in our body, we tend to think the worst.
Im glad you went to get it checked out, the dentist or doctor didnt seem worried, so dont worry. My lump is not painful though and you said yours hurts, is it an infection? or gum disease?Good luck with it , dont stress too much, its not good

That man or woman who mentioned they are on their sixth knowledge teeth is improper considering the fact that you best have 4! The lump you've got will probably be an abscess! The illness at the root of your teeth may have labored by way of to the gum and considering the fact that it's discharging will probably be inflicting you minimum teeth discomfort! Go in your dentist and you are going to be prescribed antibiotics. The dentist might opt for to extract the teeth as abscesses can best be dealt with and now not gotten rid of!

Please get a second opinion. That is not normal. Go in right when the lup comes up. You did not mention if you smoke. If you do please stop you might have subjected yourself to mouth cancer.
