Well, this could ruin the relationship between you and your friend. If your friend tries to get with him then it would be unfair to you or if you try to get with him it would be unfair to her.
One thing some girls do is not let guys get between them, sometimes they both just don't go for the same guy because their friendship is worth more than any guy. Or they agree on who should go out with him.
But maybe he has a preference, maybe he prefers you than your friend or maybe he likes neither of you.

Why dont you sit and talk with your friend one on one and get down the true feelings you both have for this guy. Best friends come in your life few and far between but guys come in and out like a swivel door!

What's wrong with that? That is where the competition begins. Since you and your friend likes the same guy, why not befriend him and see who the guy will soon like. Play fair.

Well I would first talk to your friend and tell her about your feelings if she is a ***** she will be mad but if she is a true friend then she will accept the fact that you like him and want to ask him out.

be honest with yourself, is he someone you look as a person or is it more? you dont want to ruin a friendship if you only like him as a best friend
