it is a slang word in Tagalog which means "From the Province"... this means that you are not from the city and that you have the lifestyle of a person from the provinces or the countrysides.

It is taken from the English phrase, FROM THE province. In Tagalog, traditionally, it doesn't have an F so F is pronounced as P. The is pronounced by many Filipinos as DI... So PROMDI is coined.... it is an adjective by the way

Everyone here is correct, "promdi" means someone from the province/countryside. Be careful though because it's also used as an insult. "Probinsyano" has a "nicer" connotation.
