The question is only posed to him once.
Worshipping Jesus violates the 1st Commandment if he wasn't God.
No one "Worships", Flesh Jesus in the Bible? He prohibits them from doing so.
And all the debate over his death and resurrection takes attention away from his better teachings.

Seriously, what does him being the Son of God change about his message>?

IF YOU CAN'T STEP OUT OF YOUR "JESUS IS GOD" BOX, why bother to answer this horribly "apocraphal" question. You should have better Christian Things to do than worry about some silly hippie on-line.

Hi hippie,
A tad of theology: Jesus, like all of us, are considered Children of God. Jesus references a passage in Psalms to this effect. Being a Son of God makes Jesus one of us - human.
The kicker becomes the challenge Jesus raises so often, being the Son of Man. This was the schtick in the craw of the in crowd. Anyone could be and was a child of God - why God loves us so much.
Being Son of Man puts Jesus in a position to rectify Adam's sin. This is the "self-name" Jesus uses most. It is virtually incomprehensible throughout the Gospels. A new humanity/chance/ relationship w/ God - their/our minds find it hard to comprehend.
Worship - means holding of worth: woman who anointed his feet, the thief on the cross, ettc.

I value His message BECAUSE He was the Son of God! Not God Himself, but the Son of God.But make no mistake! He deserves our praise and worship! The Bible says that when He comes back in His glory, that 'Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that He is Lord'! I believe this to be true! In the beginning, the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God! The Word was God, and the Word IS God! God is truth, so the Word is truth. They are one and the same, you see. Jesus also said 'If you have seen the Son, then you have seen the Father'. His message and His teachings were given with authority. The authority that BEING the Son of God gave Him. So you see that if Jesus said when you see the Son, then you see the Father, then it follows that if you worship the Son, you worship the Father. Ener G - WHERE does Jesus say that He was not the Son of God? In the quran? He called Himself the Son of God many times in the Bible! That is who he is whether Baal worshipping muslims think He was or not!

If it were ever proved that Jesus was the son of Joseph or even the product of Mary's rape by a Roman soldier, it would change very little for me. I would still worship God because I know there is one. And I would still be a follower of Jesus, because even if he were only a man, he was the most perfect one ever to walk the earth. And the things that He did were real. He healed, He raised the dead. I don't think that He had to be the Son of God to do that. He said that we all could do that. He found the secret and taught his followers. So Son or not it will not matter to me.

Also I want to say here that I have been taught that as we grow nearer to God that we must be willing to give up everything. This includes our understand and concept of God Himself. So if I had to give up anything for God (not for man or because some has a gun to my head), and God alone, I would.

Well. I do think the message is valued more because of that fact. He didn't teach anything bad at all. But his ideas represent and are the basis for what REAL Christians live by.

Many others have taught the same things. I value John Lennon's message just as much as Jesus'... why? because they taught the same ideas, live together in peace and happiness. some people would say I am blasphemous by saying that but its true.

Jesus was pretty much the first person to teach peace and love in a world twisted by governments based on their own take of religion. kinda like today. So that is why he has such an impact on a Christian-based country.

I don't know if I could value his message because he would be a liar if He wasn't the Son of God. He claimed to be the Son of God and even God himself so if this was not true then Jesus would be a liar and His teachings would be meaningless to me. I haven't met very many liars that have taught me very much. So if the question is posed this way then no I would not value his teachings but if you are asking if He never claimed that things(Son of God and God himself) then yes his teachings would be
valuable. Read the scriptures and you can read all all the prophies about the Messiah were fulfilled.

If Jesus wasnt the son of God it wouldn't have made his teachings any less valuable. He taught about Love, Hope, Peace, Harmony, Kindness and a whole lot more...

In fact, anyone who thinks that if because he isnt the son of god he message has any less value, has not understood what Jesus taught.

- If Princess Diana was not married to Royalty, her charity works would have still helped millions.

- if Mother Teresa was not a Nun, her Love and Kindness would still bring comfort and relief to millions

- if George Bush wasnt the President of USA, Nuk-ku-lar would still NOT be the correct way to pronounce Nuclear.

Who he was helped the message facilitate faster and more efficiently, but its essence and value remains the same whether it is fast or slow, or what status he held.

Jesus is the Word part of God the Father, Word & Holy Spirit. This God is Elohim and is plural of (EL, ELYH, ALH) In the beginning Elohim created the Heavens and the earth...

Jesus never told anyone to not worship Him. To the world the cross is foolishness, but to those redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb of God, it is the power of the Gospel.

If you confess Jesus Christ your Lord and believe in you heart (God looks at your heart faith) in His Resurrection from the dead, you will be saved (inherit ever lasting life).

Jesus said, "I AM the Resurrection & the Life...".

You need to have faith in Yahweh Elohim and believe His Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing a word about Christ / God.

According to 1 John, he who denies the Father & the Son is of a spirit of antichrist.

Your last paragraph stumps me.

According to Islam, Jesus is NOT the son of God, but muslims value his messages. Espically the message where he himself states that he is not the son of god, merely a messenger (prophet) with the one true message that we all should worship God ONLY. Muslims also beleive that he is not truly dead and will one day come back from heaven. So yes you can value his message even if you don't believe he is the son of god. Just like all muslims do.

A deep underlying thread common to most major religions is to be kind to others. The meaning is the same whether your goal is Heaven, Nirvana, Valhalla(Norse) etc. By following Jesus's message we are also following the messages of Muhammad, Budda, Ahura Mazda, etc. Does that mean we are also worshipping them? Is following the same as worshipping? You don't have to be the Son of God to have wisdom. The prophets of the OT have wisdom given to them straight from God. The Jainists try not to harm living things. Would it be so bad if we took a lesson from them? Aren't they following Jesus's message even though they don't outright say it?

Jesus was used as an instrument of God to teach man how to behave. He sets the example and teaches others how to be good and how to pray to God. Jesus is not God. Of course he is the Son of God, as are we all.
