I recently upgraded my WMP to the last version. Am using it as a default to watch lecture tapes which requires me to pause and resume every 2-3 minutes. For the last 5-6 days it was working excellent but today something strange happened, whenever I pause and then resume, the video pictures run in the slow motion while the voice speed is normal. I thought it was a defect in the clip but unfortunatelly is the same case with other clips. When I watch the same clip and do the same thing (pause and resume) with Real Player, non of such problems happen. The windows that am using is Genuine and recently installed. The RAM is Ok and the processor is Celeron 2.6 Ghz as been using this computer for the last two years and up to this moment is excellent except for the problem issue with the WMP today. ...Any suggestion out there would be kind of you.

Remove any codecs that may be causing the problem, ie. Xvid, Divx.

In WMP 10 there is a video Speed Adjustment, it is located under the Enhancement: Video Settings.
