Where I went to school, you weren't allowed to wear shorts. This makes absolutely no sense what so ever. There wasn't even a reason for it. It has been 13 years since I graduated and they still have that same policy district wide. Strangely, I never broke that rule, however I did manage to break every other one. And I mean it when I say, EVERY other rule. I wasn't the principals favorite pupil but I did manage to have personal meetings with him quite often, til I told him to f*** off, then he put an end to our personal meetings and my attending school in that district for good. All's well that ends well I always say. :-)

I don't think we have junior high in Canada, but the one rule I always broke the no gum rule. I thought it was silly. I can understand no hats because it is a sign of respect to remove your hat in a building or someone's home.

Well, I was a little bit of a bad kid. So I did things like sneak in the girls bathroom to smoke. Yes, I got caught. I think the most lame rule I can think of that I broke often was....chewing gum in class.
Man, I can't even guess how many times I must have wrote "I will not chew gum in class"....both 7th and 8th grade.

I remember we bad wanna be tough kids smoked across the street in front of the principle office which he hated it said we could no longer smoke there anymore.
To the Canadian girl, there is elementary, Junior, and Senior high school in Canada. I have lived through it through the '80's and early '90's.

~I really hated that dumb one about not being able to get laid under the bleachers during football games. That was almost as bad as that bull about having to show up at least 2 days a week. But I enjoyed the one about getting an out of school suspension for cutting. Geez, if I hadn't been giving my teachers rocks at cost, I'd probably still be there.

No gum! I thought that was stupid. I need it even now to keep my mouth from being so dry and I drink a ton of water too. Oh and another thing that used to tick me off was 3 minutes between classes. Girls are going through puberty about that time and need time to take care of sanitary things at that time...then you would be marked as tardy and your citizenship grade would go way down...what does that make us a bad citizen or something becaus we're trying to be clean? Hated it, glad it's over!

I have a couple:
1. No chewing gum. Gum increases blood flow to the brain, making you think better. I love how they didn't let you do something that would improve your learning.
2. No spinning quarters at the cafeteria table.
3. No playing cards at the cafeteria table.
4. No singing at the cafeteria table.
Yeah, lunch sucked.

im in middle school now we cant chew gum, im eighth grade im our floor is on the first floor (theres 3 floors) and we cant leave it and the other grades can leave theres. also theres a tardy policy and if were tardy we get detention then susspended, also we cant hug or hold hands with anybody. also skirts have to 2 inches above the knee or longer oh ya we also cant wear hats
and the one that ticks me off the most is if you skip school you get suspended (wouldnt you just get after school detention or something so you dont even miss anymore school)

Silliest rule was getting suspended from school for skipping school. In other words you got extra time off for skipping.
