I have products and are finish with their design phase but I have no clue in how to get a prototype completed or put together. I think It would be an engineer but how will I get a hold of them and is there a link for certain ones.

Zoomat is absolutely right. It might be a wise idea to make copies of everything, then send the originals to yourself. When you get your documents back, leave it sealed with the postal date stamp on it. This will provide a little protection in the event of a litigation.

Secondly, it might be wise to consult with a good patent lawyer to insure you are protected. Some references may be obtained from the Patent Office. They should have a list of attorneys, they won't state their competence or honesty, but it is a start.

After contacting a lawyer, ASK FOR REFERENCES!!! This cannot be stressed enough, and contact these references.

My company does this - takes ideas and makes businesses out of them (or products to be sold).

E-mail me. I can send you some history and references.

Be careful about A) disclosing your idea to anyone without a signed and enforceable non-disclosure agreement, and B) selling your idea (the patent clock starts ticking the moment you sell your idea, or a product related to it).

You could try to get on the next round of American Inventor or consider the companies that worked with their contestants.

You should take it to a local school or a tech school who has an engineering program. or a shop class. They could problably put it together.

Just be careful who you deal with......many inventions are stolen after they tell you it will not work. Then they end up making big bucks off your ideas.
