I need money to get a tattoo. I was thinking about asking everyone I know for $5 each. That would give me a few hundred. It will cost almost $500. Would this be a bad idea?

I have a job. A well paying job actually. I was going to ask everyone for a gift, instead of spending money on a present for Christmas.

I know I don't NEED a tattoo, but I'd really like one. You're stupid to tell me not to ask for something I'd like for Christmas. What are you asking for? I'm sure you don't really NEED that. Do you people even read these questions?

since it's christmas time i would say that it would be acceptable to tell everybody that would be buying you a christmas present anyway to just give you 5 or 10 dollars to put towards getting your new tattoo. let them know that that is what you will be spending the money on and that you won't just be using the money for random stuff.

Tattoo artists make more money over time. The more experiened you are and the larger your portfolio is, the more you get paid. It also depends on how popular your shop is, how many tats you do each week, and what you charge for them. Some artists never charge less than $100 an hour, others go lower with their repeat customers. Also, if you run your own shop you'll definately make more money. Most artists have to pay the owner a fee (usually half of the price of each tattoo they do) for the convience of the owner letting them use their shop.

I know if my friend or a family member asked for five dollars instead of a christmas present I would be happy....haha. If that's what you want for christmas and want to get as a christmas present I say go for it.

I gave my uncle a gift certificate to a tattoo parlor one year as a Christmas gift. Check it out and see if they have gift certificates, if so, then tell people to get you that for Christmas. That will still get you the tattoo, and if is much nicer then asking for cash.

I think Its a bad idea to ask people for money. You really don't need a tattoo. I think you'll survive with out one. Only get one when you know you have the money for it.

try to earn your own money dont be a bum and ask people for it. then they wont keep buggen you about you haven to pay them back. and you would get respected. plus if u get a job or somthin then you wont ever have to ask people 4 $, you can be independent
