I love British accents, but unfortunately I'm stuck with a Southern American one. Is there anything online, or something that would help me acquire an English (preferably Cockney) brogue?

One of the best methods is to watch "Bridget Jones' Diary" -- Renee Zellweger does an amazing British accent. Listening and copying the way she speaks (use a tape recorder) will help.
But ... there's nothing wrong with a lovely Southern accent -- it makes you YOU! I'm sure you're fabulous just the way you are!

Cockney accents are hickish. Proper English accents are preferred. But, as an American you should look but not touch. Only phonies (Madonna) take on English accents when not English. The Brits like Americans to have their native American accents. They are offended by our feeble attempts to be them. Be yourself, it's OK.

Move to England for 5-10 years. You should have the accent mastered by the time you return.

But honestly, people will think you are a bit weird if you are suddenly talking to them with some fake accent you just picked up. Be yourself, lest you have many snickers behind your back.

Uhm, the only way to pick one up is to live there for the next 20 years...otherwise you're screwed.

You could always put a faux English accent on though...I do sometimes.

Maybe look for British shows on TV and watch them constantly. You could try to mimic the words until they sound right.

practice makes perfect.
if you listen to and practicee the accent, then your mind will soon start "shifting" towards the pronunciation. thus, creating your Cockney accent :)
