I used to do it myself, but now I make my man call them. I just loathe the whole process. They usually can't hear you, get your name wrong, get your order wrong............

PS- I love you all. I thought I was some freak for my hatred of calling pizza places. My bf always makes fun of me. Now I know I'm not alone!

Not at all. I loathe calling anyone that is a stranger, especially the Chinese carryout place.
I usually have my husband do it now. Lucky me.

Don't be afraid of calling for an order for pizza. The people who take your order are not going to laugh at you. When you call, just say I would like to place an order. Then they'll ask" Is this for carry-out or delivery?" and just tell them what you want on your pizza...no sweat. I have faith in you...you can do it!

My sister is the same way she always makes me order the pizza even if my parents ask HER to order it!

I used to, and i would make my boyfriend do it too. but i got used to it and now my usual place has me in the computer(address and all) so all i have to do is say what i want, they always screwed up my street name because they couldnt hear me well enough.

No, you're not weird. I hate it for different reasons though. I'm a guy and if a guy answers the phone, the order usually proceeds smoothly. But if girl answers the phone, she inevitably acts all stuck up and b*tchy, screws up my order, pretends not to understand me, etc I don't understand what the problem is with women who work in service!

i hate to call too. at the group home i work at i say i'll pay for the pizza , but only if i don't have to call...i will call if i have to, but i hate to. Same when i order chinese

No, I don't think your weird...I hate calling anyone but my closest buddies, I hate it when someone calls me with the wrong number, I even hate ringing those intercom doorbells! lol! thats what texting, email, and the internet are for...

I didnt like calling the pizza place until I got a job at one. Trust me, if you arent drunk you are more than welcome to call the local pizza joint. If you arent dumb as hell and know what you want...go for it! Knock your socks off!

My husband and I used to fight over this, too! Neither of us wanted to call. We now order from papajohns.com! It's great to be able to order online and they save your information. Much easier and NO ONE HAS TO CALL. :o)
