I would say that it's not an emergency situation. According to http://www.i-pets.com/rdog2.html, the amount of caffeine necessary to have any affect on your dog is 100mg per 1kg of your dog's weight.

Mountain Dew has 55mg of caffeine per 12oz (http://www.mindburp.com/coffee/caffeine.html#anchor526644), so she ingested less than 100mg total, and since she's 35lbs, which is about 15 kg, then she'd have to ingest about 1,500mg of caffeine, or 125oz of Mountain Dew for it to be an amount you need to worry about.

I'm sure she's moping around the house because she probably has a lot of gas! Just give her love and hugs, and she'll be fine.

It is normal for dogs to eat grass, especially since they don't kill prey and eat their stomach contents. Grass eating and vomiting are often
seen as connected, though dogs eat grass as kind of a vegetable.

The Mountain Dew is lots of liquid, so there will be lots of urination. It has a lot of sugar, which could be make her her feel sick. Then there is the caffeine. I am unsure how much exactly is in 20ozs. of Mountain Dew, but I know it has the high highest caffeine soda
If she has a problem from the caffeine, symptoms would include elevated heartbeat, severe diarrhea and then worse to follow. Nothing mentions vomiting. If she vomited within a few hours of drinking she may have gotten a lot of the problem out that way. Caffeine would take two to three day to be totally out of her system.

She's laying around cuz she's bloated and throwing up and feeling like crap. Imagine how you would feel if you drank a gallon of that stuff all at once. Ugh. Also, it's normal for dogs to eat grass. If she's throwing it up, she should be okay soon. It would also be good if she were peein' it out. Even after it's out, though, she's still gonna act sick for a while cuz she's been through a lot barfing up all over. Just watch her. If she doesn't start acting better in a day, or if she seems to get worse before then, you should probably go to the vet.

Grass is good for dogs, give her a lot of water if she is able to drink it to help clean her system, and don't worry if she vomits the water. Take the dog to the vet because she is still a puppy and 20 oz's of mt. dew could be a shock for her system. Imagine a toddler drinking the same amount of mt dew. Just monitor her and if she doesn't improve in the next day or two take her to the vet.

It's a good thing that she is vomiting grass. Grass is a natural "pepto" for dogs and that is excactly why she ate it. She has an upset tummy and needed to vomit. If her vomiting continues or gets worse, consult with her vet just to be sure nothing else is wrong.

Your dog should be ok dogs eat grass when their not feeling so well. However since she's been puking alot it means her body is getting rid of all the caffeine she should be fine wait a couple of days and see how she's doing and if she's still acting mopey then you should take her to the vet. I hope she starts feeling better Good Luck!

Your dog's "doin' the Dew", not the doo-doo! I think she'll be OK. I've got 2 labs. Is there any other reason why your dog may be feeling sick? They do eat grass occasionally ...it does make them throw up. I know you're looking for a quick answer here! Watch out for the burp!

ha ha ha ha. she will be fine but i bet she will think twice next time before eating/drinking anything that fizzes. dogs aren't meant to have carbonation it disagree's with them terribly and they vomit it up soon after ingesting it. she should be fine she will just have to let her system settle. Just to be sure call up a vet real quick and tell him how tall she is and how much she weighs and how many oz's she drank and ask if that could have any dangerous affects. If u want to make it easier on her don't let her move around to much. and very gently rub her belly. (do NOT let her lay on her back the carbonation wll be weird for her nose which is extremely sensitive) mostly i think she will just never make the mistake again. lol. good luck. don't let her near any carpets.

She is fine. My dogs over the years have gotten into all kinds of things. They all eat grass and they will trow it up. She is a puppy and soda wont Hurt her she just might have an upset tummy. You could give her a Little pepto bismo. I have done that before and the vets all said it was fine. But don't worry, she's fine.

That's not a good sign since dogs cannot intake any caffeine. It's just as toxic is if she was eating chocolate. I would take her to the vet asap!!
