Why do underage kids like to take photos with alcohol bottles and beverages?

I'm only 20 but i don't drink...but some of my friends do and they take all these photos with the bottles and with cups filled with drinks....why? do they think its cool and bada*s to do it?

It's a sign of rebellion, like "look at me, Look at what I can do, but I'm not supposed to!" It's a way for kids to assert themselves. Boost their egos. You know, act like children before they have to grow up.

Because these Immature jerks are now wanting to REBEL against the parental rules (since they are alone) and succumb to peer pressure that states "I will only fit in if I act like an Irresponsible Jerk and drink myself into a stupor".

This is one of the rite of passage -- and GREAT for you .. since you have taken the road to RESPONSIBLE Adulthood and chose to NOT partake in this mind and body damaging ritual posturing.

They take the photos to say to themselves "Yes, I AM an Adult, and can do ANY thing I want to -- and I WILL ..." and it is directly related to NOT wanting to be like their parents (or may even be related to being LIKE their parents (if they were heavy drinkers and idolize them for doing so).

So they pick up the cans/bottles/whatever -- and consume -- consume to the point where they are in a stupor -- and think it is somehow "cool" "grown-up" a sign of their "maturity".

This will pass (for some). For others, they will NEVER learn -- and continue to poison their bodies and destroy their brains (cell by cell) because to them, there is no problem with this behavior .. and then get behind the wheel and destroy the LIFE of another (or others!).

Yes. To your friends, drinking in pics represents them being "cool" and "grown up". If they only knew how juvenile and immature they really appeared, they would pose without the booze!

It's a rite of passage. Makes them feel cool. Not terribly mature.
