There is not enough qualified black men to go around so why are so stubborn as a whole to opening our hearts to someone of a different race. Let's admit it our black knight in shining armor may never come and our marriage rate is so low it's depressing to a sistah like me we need to change our attitudes.

That's a good question .... but if you are a black woman - can't you answer it yourself? As a white man I think many black women look pretty and are nice but I have never had any romantic interest shown back to me. I think there is still a lot of uncertainty among the races and black people in particular have no really joined mainstream society, perhaps due to pride or white bigotry maybe fear of rejection too. I think you are right that it comes from the black women, though I know a while guy who is married and has kids with a black woman. She is from the east coast though where that is somehow maybe more acceptable. It is a pity because I thing kids from black and white marriages are usually good looking children. I can also tell you from a white man's point of view it would not exactly make me real happy to be accepted by a black women or any woman because there were not enough of the preferred men around! ;-)

I know a few Black women who date men of other races. My cousin is married to a caucasian man.

well, if that is what you think, why don't you do it? What is stopping you from dating outside of your race. Are you in fear of what your black friends might think of you? I personally don't date outside of my race because women in my race is the hottest on this planet, and it aint black nor white.

I am batin and living with a guy who is not black. he is white. he is the angel and he is my sweeheart. i dated black guys but hey they didnt work out. i say love is blind it dont see no color.
