That annoying chime when the seatbelt isn't clicked. I know the easy way is to just buckle the belt but anyother way?

As a Ford Product Certified & Master Certified Sales Consultant...I cannot just tell you how to shut it off.

That information is in your owners manual though, along with several paragraphs of cautions, warnings, & safety advice as to why you should wear your seatbelt, & should NOT turn off this warning chime.

If you must do it....there is a sequence to re-program the chime feature. It's a simple process.
But, like I said, you''ll have to look it up in the owners manual. I'm not gonna tell you how to disable a safety feature!!!!!!!!!
For all I know, you'll be sueing me (like the little old lady that sued McDonalds for spilling hot coffee on herself) LOL!

There is a small box plugged into the back of the fuse panel or at the side of it. if u listen for the buzzer and feel the relays u will find the one that creates the sound. remove it and u should not have any more problems. Of course the best way to stop it would be to wear your seat belt.

Look in your owners manual. On most Windstars you can set preferences. I can't remember if the 2001 had that option. I know the 2002 did.

Take a crowbar and pry open the dashboard. Take a rocket launcher and blast the inside of the dashboard until desired effects occur or you run out of ammo, whichever comes first.

Autozone shops and a few others will test for loose to get the sale on the undesirable sensor, and so on that desires to be fixed. That way the easy wont come returned on when you reset. (reset with scanner or take batt pos off one million minute "maximum autos")

well the smart thing to do would be to listen to it, and use that noise to locate it, then UNPLUG it you may need a flat head to do this as the plug has clips. but if you need help with this problem maybe you shouldnt touch a screwdriver
