If you donate blood to the red cross then they will do it for free.You have to request it though.
The answer to your question is yes.There are home kits.

I remember doing a blood test with a home type kit when I was in high school and the results were accurate. I did it more than once and it always showed the same blood type and that matched the blood type that the Red Cross showed I had.
