Those who believe in God are not the sole proprietors of love and charity...

Here... I'll show you some love and I'll be as charitable as I can toward your intellect while I point out to you how self-serving this God-bias question is.

Please re-think you position on this... I believe you are considering only a segment of all of the world's people in your question... It appears that you have made an incorrect assumption by doing so.

Without love, giving to others isn't charity.

I think so. Love, joy, peace, patience, faith, hope, etc... is the fruit of the Holy Ghost.

Love comes from God and flows out to others.

Love is a commandment of God rather than a feeling. and Biblical charity is defined as love.

I can't decide whether it is love or joy - lately I am leaning toward joy. Did you know that if you choose to be joyful enough, it's physically impossible to get angry, fret, stew, or worry? And that if you choose it often enough, it's physically impossible to be broke, sick, lonely, or confused. I recently heard this and I am going to check it out.

Peace!

I believe that to be true. I'm going to try Carole's "joy" experiment.
