Family are the people you love. Family are the people you spend your holidays with. They are the ones you can count on. I have a few friends that I consider family. I also have step and half cousins, nephews and nieces, and a half brother. My grandpa was my step-grandpa, and I loved him more than anything. I didn't even spend much time with my real grandpa. My ex-husband's nephew is my favorite nephew, even though we no longer have any relation. Love makes a family.

Its not blood that makes you family its the bond. Some people are extremely close and they consider each other family and some with the same blood line don't consider each other family. Many people think because they came from the same blood they are family. Well thats not necessarily true because if that was the case we all are family because we all started from one man and one woman.
Family is bond.

ok my opinion is a family is any group of people that treat u with love, look out for you. blood, can be family. friends can also be family, because friends are sometimes there for you when your blood family is not. adoption to me is just as good as blood. i have some family that is adopted. and i treat them just like family. the key word is always LOVE. love is faithful, love is kind, love is just what it means a very strong warm feeling or deep concern for someone !!!!!!!!! good luck in whatever u end of doing

Yeah, I agree with the others. Family = love. Adopted children are usually treated the same as biological children would be. It doesn't matter if ur Mum is not ur biological Mum, she is still ur Mum. Or Dad or sister or brother, or whoever. Some say that blood is thicker than water, but that's not true. Even true friends can be considered family.
Go figure.

What makes a family is not blood or adoption. I happen to be adopted but know my birth family. I am closer to my husband's family that any of my own family. Caring, respect, trust, that makes a family.

You don't have to be of the same blood to be family in my opinion. I have very good friends that I have known for many, many years and I think of them as family.

What makes family? = LOVE
