Nobody knows. We do know that it is essential, and of course animals need to sleep too. Since needing to sleep has obvious negative evolutionary implicaitons, it is clear that the need is quite important to the brain's proper functioning.

because our body has been working all day trying to keep you healthy... like us humans go to work... resting helps your body not work so much and to rest all the functions thats been working so that it would be strong for the next day always make sure you atleast get 7 or more hours of sleep... dont drink caffines after 6;30
