How do you ask a guy a guy you like whether or not they drink or smoke when you don't want to seem rude or stupid?

Try to bring up the topic in conversation. Just kind of ease the question on him but don't come on too strong.

It's hard not to seem stupid asking such a serious question. Just get to know him, and eventually just slip it into a conversation. Just say that you don't because you went through DARE or something then ask if he did.

Hey do you wanna go have a drink? Hey do you wanna get high ? Then if they look at your wierd play it off like you were just seeing if they did. If they say yeah wanna get high or drunk then you have your answer.
