I rather go home and relax instead of forcing conversation
with people who are complete strangers and begging them
to talk. My co-workers thought it would be good for me to get out,
but that is not my scene . I am better with smaller groups
instead of large crowds.
WAS I wrong in not going? I was tired and just not in the mood,
and I am not into the bar scene,( where you know a few people
and every one else is a stranger , and you have to find
someone just to talk to.

No, just be your own person. You should not have to make judgements based on someone else's opinion of you. You be your own master. You'll find your own group.
