A lot, it would be cheaper to start hanging around tattoo shops, find a cute single guy, and start humping him. For first timers it starts off pretty expensive but as you gain a repor with the artist then maybe they will cut you a deal or even do some stuff outside of the shop.

The cost of tattooing depends on how the artist works. Some tattooists work by the piece, depending on the size and detail of the work including color. Most tattoists have a shop minimum, a price that is the minimum charge for work done. I've paid anywhere from $50.00 to $175.00 shop minimum for work done. If you are interested in large pieces ( sleeves, backs, etc.), visit shops in your area, look at tattooists portfolios, always ask about any additional fees that might apply, make an appointment for a consultation, expect to fill out a form or two.

alot of money! depends on what they charge. some charge for the hour up to 100 dollars and hour. and others can just give you an estimate. you cant get a sleeve done all in one sitting you will need to visit the shop quite a few times for a few hours to get a nice peice in the end. but i hear usually its 100 dollars and hour! i dont have any nor to have tattoos. but thats wht my friends at work with tattoos said that they paid. they have small pieces and it cost them 300+ dollars. their pretty though =)
but it MUST be really expensive, start saving! lol
