I've never had that exact problem, but I find that OxyClean will get out just about anything without damaging color. Mix it with some water and dab it on; let it soak for as long as you can.

(I managed to get pizza grease out of a previously washed and dried shirt like this.)

You need to find out what kind of cloth your sofa is made of and then do an yahoo search on how to clean that particular type of fabric. If you use the wrong method or chemicals, you can make the damage worse.

Oxiclean is the BEST thing out there today to remove stains. I use it on my laundry and its amazing. You can buy it in powder form and mix it with water for your sofa in a squeeze bottle.

try spraying hairspray on it, but you need to do it right away.
