what selfish is slapping him in the face like this with all the grace and mercy he bestows on ungrateful people such as yourself

I think that serving God is to do nothing but to read and follow his teachings... which means that you are just trying to be a better person. He gave his only son to us so that he could show us the way to righteousness and be forgiven of all our sins and live a better life after death.... knowing that we were going to have to kill him to understand! How do you consider that selfish???? If anything we are selfish for not serving God... I think that is the least that we can do!!!!!!!!!

The 1800's?do you think that was the first time anyone dedicated
their life to God?News flash----People have been doing so since the
the creation of (Man)Gen.1:26,27..Of course this (question) only
points up to the fact of how so many people are totally ignorant of
Gods purposes for mankind. and still he puts up with us, so some
may actually gain some knowledge of him and his undeserved
kindness to us.and not actually have the gall to call him selfish..
I wish you well, you certainly need all the understanding you can
get.

God is a theory, no longer some thing extra. And the non secular (no longer only the christians) and by no skill eve each and each and every of the non secular by how, yet a number of them have not a clue what it quite skill to be moral. Being moral isn't obeying the guidelines of even with scripture they trust in or obeying the ten commandments. Its about doing the right situation it really is determined by heading off unacceptable effects and advantages of the human and animal species. it truly is discovered from life adventure and impact of different actual human beings.

Is it selfish of a King to demand respect and obedience? No, 'cause he has that authority. It is not selfish of an employer to demand his employee to follow his orders, 'cause he's the boss.

Now, imagine someone who has the power to do whatever He wants, never would do anything wrong ever, killed His own perfect Son so that His rebellious subjects wouldn't have to pay the death penalty that they deserved, and besides all this, CREATED you, and it just makes sense that I should live to serve Him. It would be very prideful of me to think that He DIDN'T deserve to be worshipped.

As a Christian, it would be selfish for me to not serve Him. Why? Because Jesus shed His own blood for the remission of my sins, and I am committed to trust & obey Him for covering my sins and giving me ever lasting life.

Jesus said that those who are greatest in His Kingdom, serve the most. Jesus came to serve us. So we serve Him. It is also the law. Those greatest in Gods Kingdom do & teach the law.

But to enter the Kingdom, one needs to be born of God, spiritually reborn, inheriting everlasting life & every spiritual blessing.

No it's not because serving God means serving others and our world - doing what is right, helping other people and trying to improve the environment to make our world a better place to live in.
Yes you spend time worshipping and praying, but don't you also spend time interacting, sharing & communicating with those you love?

God has nothing to do with this "rule"... It is a man-made rule. People want to serve God out of Love. Serving God just means that you want to do your higher good, rather than waste time and energy in selfish pursuits. It means that you have a bigger picture in mind when making decisions.

God made all of us for the soul purpose of serving him. We wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for him so don't you think that the least we can do is serve him, or are you too selfish?

Yes, I am a Christian and, yes, I suppose in most ways I do serve God. No, it isn't selfish of him at all. He wants us to be happy. He knows what will makes us happy many times better than we do ourselves. Sounds pretty loving to me.

You must not believe in God to make such a statement. Here is how I feel. A person who does not worship and serve the one that has given them life...the one that created all things...is the selfish one.
