What can you do with a degree in history?
Many, many things
As a liberal arts major, of course, the world is your oyster and you can consider a multitude of careers.
Among the jobs you can consider are: advertising executive, analyst, archivist, broadcaster, campaign worker, consultant, congressional aide, editor, foreign service officer, foundation staffer, information specialist, intelligence agent, journalist, legal assistant, lobbyist, personnel manager, public relations staffer, researcher.. . . the list can be almost endless.
More specifically, though, with your degree in history you can be an educator, researcher, communicator or editor, information manager, advocate, or even a businessperson.

One of the greatest things about your degree is that you should fully understand our system of government. You should be able to do a number of things. Generally people all over the place are interested in answers from people of your inteklligence. I would begin, if interested by contacting the local newspaper and writing a short question/answer format from a couple of questions that you either make up or have your friends ask of you. DEAR ABBY has made lots of money doing something similar without a degree. You might also begin working in a government office or run for a political position. Start small and move up as people get to know you. Generally a local political party will assist you in running for a local position then, as you are known by the voters you can begin to either run for a county office or move on from there. Have fun with this! They are both things that you are knowledgable about and you should be able to do well with them! Have a great holiday!
