Well obviously if they have to set a time/day when you need to clean your room you must be acting more like 5 than 15.

All this seems to be is a power-play between you and your step-dad. You say you keep your room clean, so what difference does it make about the time? If it is done earlier, then you have more of the weekend to enjoy a clean room.
Another answerer was right when she said you must learn to cope with authority figures. You are always the loser when you try to butt your head against a brick wall!
Good Luck.

You need to listen to authority figures or you'll wind up like my sister-

19 and mooching off the rest of the family and writing 10 page blogs about how life isn't fair and the entire world is out to get her.

You want a little more leeway??? Earn it. Like everyone else has to.

My three year old picks up her room when told to do so- what does that say about your age vs. maturity?

i think your mom's ridiculous for not standing by your step dad, parents need to have a united front. as far as cleaning your room. if it's really not messy then just pick it up by sat. whats the big deal. to me it seems like your just playing your mom against your step dad.

You sure sound like you are 5. Take responsibility for your space. It really won't take much effort, and you may even find that if you get it done ahead of time you could earn trust points and maybe some extra privileges.

if this is the only problem you have with him then be thankful. you do not pay the bills. you are only fifteen follow the rules. be thankful your parents take the time to talk things over with you . and try to come to a solution together. no matter how old you are there will allways be rules. get used to it.

Just make your room appear to be clean at all times. Why is he going into a 15-yr-old's room anyhow?

I would like you to try and show some respect for your freaky stepdad. He is, after all, your mom's husband. a little give and take is always good even in a freaky relationship.
