Bicycles DO have every right to be on the road.
Everyone is taught to "share the road".
The bicycle should move to the right side of the lane to help you pass.
It is your responsibility as a driver to recognize "hazards" and compensate as you share the road. Bicycles are not allowed on limited access highways as traffic is expected to move at high speed. Other roads, up to 55 mph, may have driveways or other reasons for slow moving traffic.

I live on one of those roads. I ride a motorcycle. And if you run me over when I slow down for my driveway, I'm gonna be mad!

The locals ride thier bicycles down the same road in packs. Oh, and horses are still allowed on these roads as well.

we got to share the roads with them , i wish they would put lights on them at night so i can see them an they need signal lights on them so we know when the bike rider wants to turn. i realy do not like it when the ride in packs in both lanes , they need to stay in the slow lane an use the slow truck lane going up a long grade sence it is illeagle for a car to pass to the right in them slow up hill lanes.

Bicycles should not share traffic with cars and trucks.

The days of horses and carts are long gone and we don't see them on the roads anymore - they will be a hazard. They have their own place and space in society that is the horse sport events or the out rides out in the country etc.

The same should happen with bicycles - Give them their own place at least but get them out of the traffic.

Sorry, pal, but bicycles have an equal right to the road with you cagers. And that's as it should be! You need to learn to share the road with other road users.

The only exception is on certain limited access highways or motorways where low-speed vehicles are specifically prohibited.

If a bike is riding down the middle of the road and they don't knowingly yield to a car behind them, then they deserve to get run over.

I agree. My father is a bike rider and I constantly complain about it. He believes that he has every right to be there. I think he could get killed or cause an accident where someone else could get killed.
