why do they seem weird ? you think you gotta be outta school &&; 18 or older 2 love someone or be in a [real] relationship ? you can't put an age on love .. you can fall in love at any age , if you understand tha true meaning of "love" . you can be younger than 18 , without it being "puppy love" .

First off, it is my personal opinion that middle schoolers shouldn't even be having dating realtionships in the first place. I used to hate the rule that I had about not being able to "date" until I was sixteen, but now that I've grown up, I've realized the benefits of that rule.
A Middle School "relationship" goes no farther than holding hands (usually) but it still puts pressure on both genders. After you get to that "dating" stage, it's hard to feel comfortable around the opposite sex without constantly wondering if there's supposed to be something more. No one can expect a middle schooler to take a relationship seriously, and it's a lot of pressure to conform to Hollywood standards. I mean, look at the age of girls who are walking around in belly shirts and mini-skirts nowadays. They're nine years old sometimes! It's insane...
As for high school - it's not serious either, but it's not supposed to be. High school is a time to date as many different people as possible (and group dates are perfectly fine - no need to make things "intimate") to figure out what you look for in the gender you are attracted to. What bothers me is when high school students sleep around and tell each other 'I love you' after dating for three weeks - it's completely unrealistic and it screws with the true meaning of the 'L word.'
So, to sum up my answer, middle school relationships should be nonexistant - just friends. It won't kill anyone to wait. High schoolers should be allowed to date, but it should be encouraged that it's not serious.

Statistically, most of High School relationships last for years, ending with marrige. I'm in a WONDERFUL relationship that we both plan on keeping together after High School. Middle school relationships, however, are little more than crushes to get experiece in the 'field' of "dating".
