That engine can be quick given a chance to breathe properly. First get a low restriction intake that will bring cold air to the engine. There are several brands on the market.
That will let more air in so the engine doesn't work so hard just to breathe. Now you need a better way to get out the used up exhaust gases. Install low back pressure catalytic convertors and oversized exhaust. Removing catalytic convertors completely from the system is illegal for on road use. Finish the exhaust off with low back pressure mufflers and you could see a 15% increase in horsepower. You might be able to find a shop that will make a true DUAL exhaust system. That would be the best.
Otherwise you are looking at adding turbo, or nitrous and that can be very expensive!!!
Good luck....

Depends, how much money do you want to through at it? You can find a lot of parts options at www.summitracing.com but you'll need some mechanical skills to do things like NO2, supercharger or turbo chargers. Call Summit and ask them if they have a wet Nitrous System that will fit. You don't want to add more than 50 to 75 HP or you'll break everything in the drive line and you may even at 50 HP. Otherwise you can check your local speed shop.

Any eastern or German or Korean automobile with 270HP-330HP can attain as much as 155mph. as we communicate, maximum V6 engines in eastern autos make that skill and attain that ruled constrained velocity. 155mph. Any Porsche can incredibly attain 160mph. Even the slowest and maximum inexpensive, the Porsche Boxster. For American autos, you opt for 400HP autos to realize a hundred and fifty mph incredibly. they choose extra skill because of the fact they are generally much less aerodynamic and heavier. occasion: The 300HP Mustang GT in simple terms reaches 146mph. Honda S2000 Nissan 350z Mazda RX-8 and RX-7. Saturn Sky Redline Pontiac Solstice GXP Pontiac GTO Ford Mustang GT500 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Nissan Maxima New Honda Accord V6 and Nissan Altima V6 and Toyota Camry V6. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo or Eclipse GT Subaru Impreza WRX or Subaru Impreza WRX STI. VW R32 VW Passat V6.

ok about the nitrous, make sure your engine is in good enough shape to handle it 1st of all, 2nd make sure you replace the drive-shaft and all the parts that will take pressure from the extra power, the stock driveshaft was only designed to take what the stock motor and a few little modifications could put out....call JEGS and get thier professional advise about the nitrous and what drive-shaft application would fit your car (if any) that could handle the extra torque
