It's a catfish haven so any part of the mississippi river is ok. The farther south you get, the bigger the catfish are.

Throw a crankbait near the shoreline, let it set there for approximately 20 minutes. Next, reel it in ever so slowly being careful that it doesn't dive into the water. After ten cranks, stop and let it set there another 20 minutes. Once you finally reel it into the boat (assuming you didn't catch a catfish), set the rod down, grab a 12oz. and sing "Go tell it on the mountain". If this strategy doesn't work, you might as well hang it up because you probably don't have that magical fishing touch. Good Luck!
