I absolutely agree with you. and i definetly was not scarred for life. im very thankful to my parents for giving me those few short years of innocence. kids need some time to be kids before you are bombarded with all the bull **** you will have to deal with the rest of your life. people need to lay off and let kids have a childhood!

I never did believe in Santa Claus, but my husband said he felt completely betrayed by all of the adults in his life when he found out that Santa wasn't real. For this reason(and not because we're lazy Jennifer F), we're teaching our children that Santa is a fictional character made up for fun, right from the start. We still watch all the same Christmas specials, we just make sure that they know it's make believe.
Jesus is the reason for the season anyway!!
Merry Christmas and God Bless!!

OMG he's not real....HOW RUDE. lol anyways....
When i was a little kid i use to love belieeving in Santa i would wake up in the middle of the night and i'd see a red light outside my window (now that i'm older i know it's the cars break lights) and it glowed up the whole sky. I used to think it was rudolph and Santa had finaly come. So i'd wait till the lights went away and i'd sneak into the living room and there would always be gifts galor i'd scream and run off to bed. I was upset at first but heck i got over it. Santa will live on FOREVER. HOHOHO MERRY CHRISTMAS

I not think in Santa Claus. I do not know while I stopped believing, however I wasn't traumatized. I uncover it demanding while my mom and aunt act like there relatively is a Santa Claus, on account that they are each of their 40s-50s, and the way are you able to think in Santa while you are the only filling the stockings and putting offers beneath the tree? Get a grip, you already know? I do not know what I'm going to inform my youngsters, while I have them, however for now with my practically three yr historic nephew, I'll move at the side of anything his father and mother inform him. By the best way... you relatively ought now not believe anybody with as many aliases as Santa Claus. Seriously... Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, St. Nicholas, Father Christmas... he is gotta be hiding whatever! What's his truly title?! *cough*

I agree and I think a lot of it is that parents are just plain getting lazy. I have 2 young daughters and several of my friends have young children. They don't want to have to be worried with hiding presents until Christmas, so they don't do Santa simply so they can go ahead and put the gifts under the tree. Others don't want to give Santa the credit for the gifts that THEY bought their children. I say if you're that lazy and immature that you can't let a kid be a kid because it's not fair to you, then maybe you shouldn't have kids to begin with.

I believe too! My parents always told me to believe in Santa so I did. And seeing the movie Polor Express made me sad when the parents didn't believe so the bell didn't make a noise. So here is my point I BELIEVE I BELIEVE! Merry Christmas everyone!!

I was disappointed, but I never stopped believing in the "magic." My kids still get coal in their stockings and goodies, and presents from Santa. (And so do I.) And man are those cookies good! (They are 16 and 21.)

I was crushed too. ur right parents do suck the fun out of everything.
Also they lied to us. And also when i open my presents its not that fun anymore. it makes feel much older than before and i dont like that feeling.
But Merry Christmas to you too!!!

Sara u are absolutely right. My kids believe in Santa and i hate it. I never believed in Santa. But Santa shouldn't be the symbol of Christmas as it is Jesus.Kids need to learn it is about giving. Because all of your spoiled little brats probably just want want want. Santa is just a marketing design. Why are we all fools.
I just rember other kids talking about santa and i got to laugh at them when we got older. They were like i heard him or they saw him, and i was like yea right.
