On the way home tonight, I decided to grab some fast food grub for later. I stopped at Wendy's and ordered two Bacon Cheeseburgers, sour cream and chive baked potato with butter, and a Chicken Caesar Salad. Total came to $10. Upon arriving home, I open my burgers and find that they only have bacon, lettuce and tomato in them -- no BURGER or cheese. Additionally there is no salt/pepper/sourcream/butter. What is the proper way to handle 5hitty service like this?

I would go directly to their website and complain. Customer service is horrible everywhere anymore. If you don't say anything they will never know.

Call the Wendy's and ask for the manager on duty. Tell them what happened and ask for a commitmet to refund your money. Make sure to keep your receipt AND get the name of the manager. Also, write down the time and date of your call.

If you can and want to drive back, have them replace the food. If not, then a verbal commitment to refund or give you a full meal next time you're there would suffice.

DO NOT be rude or abusive. That kind of behavior only makes you look like a jerk. It was likely an honest mistake, so treat it as such.

well i work in fastfood and i dont think you shold go back being a rude asshole. call the store and im sure the manager will give you your money back or take your name and give you a free meal the next time you come back. I dont like to get shitty service at a fast food place either and i work at one but take into consideration that there may be a new cook back there just learning (even though it is retarded to forget to put meat and cheese on the burger) or take into consideration that someone might have ordered those same burgers with no meat or cheese and the person packing your order just packed it wrong. you should definatly call the store but realize that everyone makes mistakes and working with fastfood and dealing with the hungry public is very very hard sometimes!

Either you could take them back and get the correct order, or you could telephone them and perhaps they could credit you for next time. Dont get rude because the workers can get nasty and God knows what they will do to your burgers.
