It felt VERY VERY bad every time. SO I protect myself now. Maybe too much even. I haven't been able to deal with it. Way too sensitive I guess. Get ready for any possible answer then risk it. Otherwise you always wonder what might have been. Thats even worse.

This has happened to me too. I liked a girl very much and I ended up with nothing. She left me.
Well, first of all, there's depression that you have to take care of because that's the first thing that appears when a person you love/like leaves you. Make sure you eat only what you were eating before depression.
Anyway, if so, you must allow him to take his own decision. Let him know your feelings and how much you care about him. If that person still leaves you, then atleast ask him for his hand in friendship. That way, you will be able to see him but not love him. This will subside your inner feeling to some extent.
There's also something you must do in case he leaves you.
After he says 'No' for your request, take some time off from things. Clear out the garbage from yourself. Make an appointment to meet him after about a month or so. Then when you meet him, don't tell him about how much you liked him or stuff like that and please don't say anything about how much it hurt you. Instead talk of good things that will make him feel sorry that he lost you.
Hope this will help you. All the best.

First of all I tell you that when you are rejected by a b/f, it is not your fault but it is the fault of the b/f who failed to understand you and your affection and emotion of love for him. There is no gainsaying the fact that woman is weakness of man. Man whosoever he may be, he succumbed before woman, while doing love and intercourse. Now coming to the second part of your question i.e "How to deal with the rejection?". Naturally if he rejected you, you should not bow before him . After all he is not God. You have your own self-respect. But at the time when he rejeced your love, you should give him some censorious remarks that what he has done (rejection), he will repent for this demeanour one day when nothing could be done. I think such remarks will teach him a lesson to deal love affairs in his life.
