I've got a '92 Prelude Si with 120k and am asking about $1500. It's had some basic "performance enhancing" modifications and is in fair condition. It may need a new alternator, but other than that it's clean. I need to make space for a new car i'm getting at christmas so i've dropped the price significantly. That's probably the cheapest you're going to find of the "pretty fast" class.

you wont get a car that runs well for 500.00, if thats all your budget allows, perhaps you should look into a Moped or a nice bicycle

You're joking, right? For $500.00 you'll be lucky if it runs -- and damn lucky if it passes a safety and emissions check. That's well-worn Hooptie territory.
