Just so you know, Heineken is a DUTCH beer, not German. Many German traits include Blonde hair, blue eyes, but many of their features can be found in many of the surrounding countries including the Netherlands.

Be proud of your ancestry no matter what the make up is. The Germans have a very interesting history. Check out this link:

It has all kinds of interesting tidbits including facts about the German influence on America and signicant contributions. Tracing your ancestry is a lot of fun and is one of the fastest growing hobbies around the world and is very addicting. Good luck on your search.

I thought I knew what my heritage was until I found out my father was not truly my biological father. I was in my late 30's when this was revealed to me. So its always possible anyone in the family could not be what your perceive them to be.

Also, I know someone who's just found out their grandfather is not their biological grandfather but was raised to think he was just that.

Not that these "relatives in disguise" are bad people, but it sure does through a wrench in your genealogy background search.

Genealogy has a way of opening up many closets (filled with all kinds of secrets) that had been nailed shut for many years!
