I was talking to a potential crush and his sister and his sister said that I was his 'crush' and stuff and he looks at me and says jokingly 'Ew, I would never go out with a 9th grader.' (he's in 10th grade) Cuz he has this thing about making fun of me for being younger and shorter and stuff. I kind of think he was just covering up for possibly liking me...what do you think?

How did he say it?
Was the tone of his voice negative or was he joking?
I know boys that joke like that and they do it as a way to cover up their feelings for the girls they like.
But if he was being rude then that's just a no go, don't even bother with him.
There really isn't much of a difference between 9th and 10th grade.

You are too young, just in the 9th grade. Get a good education, then when you get out of school- you'll have your pick of all kinds of opportunities, including guys. You have friends in the meantime- but there's plenty of time for the "love stuff" your whole life!

You are not too young. He probably is teasning you. Don't make any major moves yet. But do play the field. How is his sister's relationship with him? She could be purposely letting all his secrets out because she hates him lol.

It could be a cover up. If he says it jokingly then yeah it is. I think he has a crush on you.

I think that you should give them a try. Many people date younger people all the time, so it's no big deal. And if it doesn't work out then you can always let them down gently.

I think he might just be covering up that he likes you. Maby he is just too shy to admit it you know. But when he is ready he'll come out it takes time.

yes he might covering up and it is normal for upper classman tend to pick on freashman
