Focus on different parts of your body, the way you might if you were doing yoga. Breathe into them, note how they feel (even if they really hurt and it upsets you). Stay with it. This is body meditation and it will make your workouts a lot more healthy and effective (you'll be less likely to hurt yourself, too).

Listen to music or watch TV. Try to develop a routine in working out because the hardest thing is getting started. After you workout for a period of time, you feel more motivated to keep it up.

Have a picture of a general physique that you want, paste your head on it. Put it somewhere where you can see it. Also put a picture next to it of girls, jealous dudes. Better yet have all these things on the same poster. Plus play your music if you can. If you are working out for a sport watch your favorite players or a clip of them right before you practice and you can come pretty close to actually looking like them.

Personally before I play Basketball I'll watch AND One, before I spar I watch clips of someone like Jackie Chan, Tommy Carruthers, or Richard Ryan http://www.dynamiccombat.com/about/videogallery.htm

I realize that Jackie Chan's fights are unrealistic but I move with speed similar to his after watching his movies. Also I play better if I watch And One first.

look online at ppl with amazing bodies & print them out as your motivation. keep a favorite cd or playlist going & tell yourself you wont stop until the music stops. think about all the wonderful results your body will get & how every little bit only improves you as a whole! think of how the rest of the world is sitting there gettin fat & YOU are actually doing something about it! feel good about yourself!

Make sure to change up your routine every 3-4 weeks to help also use a variety of cardio exercises. Try to workout both outside and inside if possible.

Try to get another person to work out with you, or at least a buddy that you can talk to. If you know you have to report to someone because they are exercising every day too, you get a little competition going.

Give yourself a progress chart. Try to fill it out every other day.

A little exercise is better than none! Good luck.
