I would suggest visiting one of the message boards for people with celiac disease and other gluten intolerances. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding good gluten-free options for regular gluten-based foods.

There are lots of really good options as far as bread, pizza, pasta, crackers, cookies, cakes, pie crusts etc., many of which have just come out in the last couple years.
For example, I was in charge of making the pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving this year - used Gluten-Free Pantry's Perfect Pie Crust, and everybody loved it. Even my 11 and 12yo nephews said that they couldn't have told the difference unless they already knew it was going to be GF. And tonight I made an Angel Food Cake, again by Gluten-Free Pantry. Pamela's products has our favorite bread - Wheat Free Bread Mix, and they have the best Pancake Mix.

Here are some other sites with delicious GF products

There are lots more companies that make exclusively GF food, mostly baked goods, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
I hope you start feeling better soon. Once you're completely gluten free for a while, you'll really start noticing a big difference.

Sounds like you don't have a good enough choice of gluten free food available for you. That's why you end up cheating, because your hungry. Make sure to have lots of gluten free food around you and never starve yourself. When you're about to cheat think about the pain you get from eating gluten.

most chex mix are gluten free and twizzlers are gluten free and some taco's are too. no it won't heal itself. but your gluten allergy could get worse my moms friend had a gluten allergy but ignored it and ate normal food,5 years later she started losing blood for no reason, was in the hospital for like a month and she started back on the gluten free diet and know she's fine
