Ladies and Moms...what would you do if your friend or daughter came home with someone like this??

Question

OK i met this guy in college.I'm sorta starting to get into him.He's very much into me.This I know b/c of what he tells people about me.The only thing is, I don't know whether to pursue a serious relationship.In my heart, I want to, but I know my family will disapprove of his appearance,his personality, or his habits. Anything about him really.He's about 5'5 and weighs about 125. He's very pale and always wears really big, baggy sweatshirts, and pants.He has long stringy black hair, tattoos, and a tounge ring.He's from Chicago, both parents are lawers, and he really flaunts his parents' money and the things (expensive clothes, flashy cars,etc.) that he buys with it.He also smokes and drinks extensively. Ladies, what would you say to your friend if she was dating someone like this, and moms, what would u think if your daughters came home with him on their arms?I appreciate any comments/advice.I want advice from either angle, as a parent or a peer, even if it is negative advice.Thanks

He's very cocky due to the fact that he has a lot of money and he flaunts it. However, he doesn't have many friends because of his appearance and his standoffish prescence. However, when I'm around him he's totally the definition of a sweetheart. He's everything I want in someone because when he tells me something, I actually believe he might be serious. I think, despite the way he comes off to others, that he's wonderful. I asked this question to get serious views on him b/c I want to know what to expect my parents' responses to be to him. Just an opinion from an outside source would be appreciated whether it's good or bad. Thank you!

I would ask u since you want to take him home.
Does he have any positive qualities? If so I would try to play these up, not the smoking and drinking. Are u sure you find him attractive just going on your description.

I would think he's self-absorbed and immature and probably more interested in his own pimp status than being faithful to a woman. I'd say "He may be a nice guy and a decent friend honey, but he's not work bettin the farm on."

In other words:
NOT husband material.

if you really liked this guy you should be proud to him because what he is now is what makes you fall for him,but if you are worried about the character of this guy then you should give up on him
if you love someone accept who he is don't try to change him for your benefits only!

Drinking heavily is my issue... .not how he dresses. He's an alcoholic and that does not bode well for a future with him.
