She could qualify for a merrit based scholarship from Penn State based on her high school GPA. However, I will provide some other free sources to locate scholarships and grants because there are many great sources to locate them.

Frist, apply with FAFSA after the first of January for the fall semester. This will tap into both federal, state, and college need based financial aid.

Second, the high school guidance office has a list of scholarships from local organizations and companies. This takes time to hear back if she was selected to receive the scholarship.

Third, Penn State's financial aid website and her college major have a list of scholarships from private companies and organizations. This takes time to hear back if she was selected to receive the scholarship.

Fourth, the local public library has a scholarship list book. It will contain scholarships that can be located on the web and those without a website. This takes time to hear back if she was selected to receive the scholarship.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search engines. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search. This takes time to hear back if she was selected to receive the scholarship.

Good luck!

The financial aid office will be able to help you out. Try searching for penn state scholarships on google and also look at Penn State's website. If she has a particular career in mind, try searching for scholarships directed toward that. She should be able to get some sort of academic scholarship with her GPA. Good luck and we are PSU - :)

Talk with the financial aid department at the school. If she has that high of a GPA, they should be able to offer her something. Plus the school should have an online scholarship search. Her GPA should almost guarantee her getting some scholarships. Stay in touch the financial aid department though.... they'll work with you and get it worked out.
