No. If it did, then over half of the workes wouln,t be there. Some take other types of antidepressant. Just because ou may use meds to help with depression, that doesn't automatically disqualify you from working there. That would be like asking does taking zoloft or another antidepressant keep one from working in the medical profession?

Thats a good question, im actually trying to get an internship at a nuclear power plant this summer. From what I have heard, the background check is very detailed, even a traffic ticket needs to be explained. I know that they are VERY strict when it comes to illegal drugs (one plant said that you can forget about even applying if you have used/possessed within the last 5 years) but I am not sure about prescription drugs. If you are clinically depressed I assume they will probably make you take a psych eval, though.

I am sure there are more factors then that which will keep you from working in a nuclear power plant. I would say, from your picture, you have a future in food services or houskeeping.

no but i dont recommend taking zoloft. i took it for about a year...and i gained 35 pounds and it made me very iritiable. you have to learn to be stronger then those problems "they" say you "have". Because if your strong enough to go to work every day especially at a place like that and you can have a normal conversation, your fine!!

No, but it is likely to give you side effects you will brush off,.. your Doctor will deny there are any problems,.. and a few years later you will be going " Damn it! Why didn't anyone warn me I could have damage to my organs?!?"
