thats a good question. as far as i know, theres really nothing you can do besides eat healthy and get the right amount of calcium i guess. i know exactly how you feel. im 16 and im only 5 feet tall and im shorter than most people (although there are others who are shorter, guys as well!) i honestly dont think you are really short and if no one is taller than 5'5 in your family than its not looking too good for you. alot depends on genetics. its ok we'll be short together! :)

p.s. i did a little research because i was interested too and heres something i found...

My son is 16 and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He keeps asking if there's anything he can do to become taller.

Taking care of himself — eating well, exercising regularly, and getting plenty of rest — is the best way to help his body reach its natural potential. But assuming his diet is normal and he has no medical problems, there's no magic pill or formula or nutritional supplement for increasing height. In fact, his genes are the major determinant of how tall he'll be.

Most teens can expect to grow a total of about 7 to 10 inches during puberty before they reach full adult height. Each person is a little different, so everyone starts and goes through puberty on his or her body's own schedule. Those who start a little later than their friends will usually continue to grow a little later, too.

I don't think you can "get tall"... but I know you can stunt your growth- don't weight lift until your growth plates are finished growing, otherwise your height will be stunted

The ONLY way to get tall is through your families genes. That's it. There's NOTHING you can do.

Play basketball or volleyball. I think that helps while you're still growing.
