OK, so I messed up. My boyfriend and I broke up 6 weeks ago (we were exclusive and he said he was falling for me but didn't want to be bf/gf---I want something more serious) and tried to be friends. On week 3 I decided to go to dinner with him because I missed him terribly. We had a fantastic time, I asked him upstairs and we ended up having the most amazing sex which of course brought all the feelings back. I left the country for three weeks and he kept IMing to say hello. When I came back, I called him and we had dinner. It was great, but when he came over he wouldn't stay, even tho he held me in his arms and said he wanted to so badly. He told me later he is dating others and that if he slept with me he'd want to commit to me, and that he doesn't want to be in a serious relationship. I am an attractive woman who turns heads and don't understand why he wouldn't want to sleep with me. Is this him respecting me or feeling sorry for me? Why would ea man pass up hot sex?

He is seeing someone else and apparently like them,however-he care about you a great deal and dont want to hurt you or miss lead you and he know if he have sex with you it will mess YOU up and eventually you will end up not liking him,so to keep the friendship he rather not have sex with you.Respect him for telling you the truth because he could have played a ghetto game with you,did it to you,and kept it moving.He didnt pass up hot sex....he had you already.He know how your stuff is.

Well, if he respected you and wanted you in his life, he wouldn't have told you he didn't want a girlfriend.
And then he started dating other people, which basically clarifies that you are not what he is looking for, so he's continuing the search.
I would definitely give this some time, take a step back for a while and see where things go.
Just because a guy won't have sex with you doesn't mean he respects you.

I think he has some feeling or feelings for you whether they are romantic or plutonic but I think he does not like you sexually anymore. He said he has other interests and possibly he does not want to reopen his old feelings for you.
I would try to date other people also and if you two decide to get back together than good, but if not go have fun meeting other people.
I was always in love when I was younger and I missed out on A LOT of stuff because I was sooooo in love with someone. I always held my relationships as top priority and sometimes I wish I had not. But who knows??

he was just using you for sex. he's decided that he wants to get serious with someone other than you..
never have casual sex with an ex or a friend. it will always screw with your emotions..
