Your own sports drink-diluting two parts soft drink to one part water and adding 1/8 teaspoon of salt. If not look for drinks that contain 6-8% of carb concentration.

There other have suggested good alternatives to Gatorade. In most instances, electrolyte replacement in not necessary, but rehydration is. If you kidneys function normally, you can usually get by without much salt (electrolytes). The exception would be serious vomiting and diarrhea.
Most athletic sweating is replaced just fine with plain water. The main is advantage to sports drinks, is that people tend to drink more because they like the taste.
With severe vomiting and dehydration, IV (intravenous) hydration may be needed.

They sell bottles of electrolyte fluids in drugstores.
There are also pedialite packages that you would keep in a freezer. If you were low on electrolytes or running a high fever you could have a pedeolite popcycle!

try childrens pedialyte or make your self a snack of banana, chocolate, and milk.Banana for potassium, chocolate for magnesium and sodium, and milk for calcium. And drink a ton of water, because electrolyte loss is usually due to excessive sweating or diuretics or a diarrheal illness

Some sports drinks will help and also PediaSure. But the best way to do it is to have small quantities while you're working out instead of a lot at once.
