To always love others, to always put others before themselves and to never judge anyone. Always look for the good in other people and not the negative.

I would have to say "good communication skills."
Without good communication skills, you won't get very far in life. You have to know how to be open and HONEST, even in the toughest situations. If you start teaching your child when they are young, the benifits of having an open relationship by talking about things... they will be less inclined to go to a stranger and be put in a bad situation when they get older.

You have to know first, that I am an extreme perfectionist and second that because I'm almost completely deaf, I tend not to say much or smile often... I don't interact much with people. That having been said, I hope and pray that if they learn nothing else from me, they learn that I love them and to be forgiving of others. I guess I'm pretty scary to them.

To love thy neighbor as you family, to be able to treat people like family, to always have an open mind and a heart open to anyone. To be as unselfish as you could be to the extremly poor. To travel and have many experiences, not just to St. Barts or Hollywood, but to the poor in Brazil or children in the ghetto. To not get caught up in gossip or backstabbing, it is useless. To not be stubborn to new ideas. To aquire or already have the quality or loyalty, trustworthiness, and honesty.

I am not saying I have those qualities necessarily..but those are the ones I am trying to get to be a better Christian and would like to see in my children if I have any or adopt.

One thing? Kindness. Toward themselves, towards everyone around them.
I believe the best way to teach kindness is to show it to your children. Kindness encompasses empathy, respect, love, and can shape self-esteem. What a terrific quality to share!

I want them to learn to treat everyone equally and to respect themselves as well as everyone else. Work hard and it will pay off in the end.
