I actually asked this same question on here about a week ago. The common consensus is that you should wait a while before downloading IE7. It has some major defects that make it a lot worse than IE6. It can't open a number of websites for one. Also, if you download it to try it and then uninstall it, you still have to deal with some of the problems it causes.
My dad builds computers and he said he tried IE7 and it's really bad right now. Definitely wait it out. After hearing what others had to say about IE7 I'm not going to download it for a while!

I won't be downloading it anytime soon, I never download new versions of anything until all or a least most of the bugs are gone and there are problems with the IE7. So I think that unless you know your away around the systems on your computer VERY well it may be advisable to wait for a couple of months or six.

I would go ahead an download it. It has gotten good reviews, works pretty much the same as the previous version, and has much stronger security. The download may take a while (depending on your connect, etc.), but I think it is worth it. Good luck.

I recommend downloading it, cause it has a phis-hing filter, browsing tabs which will allow u to surf various pages in one page. Problem is it's slow on some web pages due to the phis hing filter....

DOWNLOADED ABOUT A WEEK AGO. NO PROBLEMS SO FAR. I DID HAVE TO TWEEK IT SOMEWHAT FOR MY NEEDS BUT NOTHING COMPLICATED AND IT WORKED. I DIDNT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE IN SPEED BUT I DO LIKE THE TABS(EASY TO REFER BACK TO A PREVIOUS WEBSITE). I USED VERIZONYAHOO FOR EMAIL AND THERE WERE NO CHANGES AFTER DOWNLOADING IE7

I feel you should get it. It has many security fixes included. Get if from the Microsoft website by entering it directly www. microsoft...com. If you have a issue with the menu bar get this tweak....
