First of all, it's not legal to download most of the stuff on Limewire. Second, any file sharing program opens your computer up to the other users, so they might be able to get information off you computer. Also, file sharing servers open your computer up to a lot of viruses and stuff that is otherwise harmful to your computer.
Most people don't seem to have many problems with Limewire. But, NO, it's not particularly safe.

I have downloaded over 15,000 songs from Limewire Pro. It gives you virusus but it's worth it.

The Limewire program itself will not harm your computer. The files downloaded with it might. There is no way to guarantee that they fo not contain a virus, spyware, etc. Always virus scan a file before opening it. Plus if you are mis-using it by downloading copyrighted materials (songs and vids) you leave yourself open to a being sued.

No it's not safe, because you are open to trojan viruses, as well as other types of viruses. Unless you plan on getting a lawsuit thrown on you, I would suggest not using limewire to get music.

It is safe, But on most computers, it slows all the programs down majorly.

yes...worth the one time upgrade. hang on to your transaction sheet with your account info if you need to download again for some reason. You only have to pay once.

go hog wild! there is a high risk that someone can infect the files you download with viruses!

Yes. I have been using it forever and I have never had any problems with it nor never did it do any damange or viruse my computer. =) Use it.

Yes it is safe to use this system! I use mine everyday and I have over 1,000 songs on it now!
